If there is one thing we’ve learned about our President in his just under 5 months in office it’s that “conventional wisdom” is not in play at all in the Trump White House.
His Tuesday Tweet, aimed squarely at the U.S. Supreme Court, makes a direct call on Justices to overturn lower court rulings which have blocked implementation of his second attempt at a temporary partial ban on travel into the U.S. by people from 6 predominately Muslim countries.
Conventional wisdom indicates that U.S. Presidents leave arguing cases at the Supreme Court to the Federal employees paid to do it.
But, as we’ve learned, the way things have been done in the past is not how Donald Trump works.
In fact, he’s also taken a shot this week at his own Justice department for sending what he called a watered down travel ban to the high court for consideration.
It’ll be interesting to watch how the issue plays out.
Detractors who complain Donald Trump should act more Presidential obviously haven’t figured out how the most powerful man in the world works…or how he thinks.
That’s the way I see it.
