This isn’t just the first Friday in March, or the Friday before the start of Daylight Savings Time. This March 6th has been designated as “the national day of unplugging.” Today is meant for folks to unplug, rewind and relax. That means avoiding things like social media and electronic devices or maybe turning off the tv, or maybe just doing a bit of reflecting or taking some time for yourself. Proponents of the unplugging concept say avoiding technology for just one day will be very good for you and will encourage you to do some real social interacting. In other words, they say today would be a good day to talk to someone else face to face. That sounds like a very good concept and one that’s quite overdo too. That’s the way I see it.
