Recent tweets are causing me to re-evaluate Twitter.
Saturday Night Live writer Katie Rich, who has since been suspended, predicted the 10 year old son of President Donald Trump “would be the nations first home school shooter” on Twitter.
And pro-football bust Johnny Manziel offered advice to the new President about how to use the social media site is another example.
It’s tweets like those that have me wondering if there really is much that benefits society within the millions of tweets posted each day on Twitter?
It seems when my smart phone Twitter alarm goes off, it’s most often because someone has sent me a photo or video which is kind of weird since most of the folks I’m affiliated with are aware that I can’t see.
I’m not a Twitter-hater, but I just find that my love for real interactions with people and trying to be a productive member of society stand in the way of spending time tweeting or reading others twitter feeds.
Call me old school and you won’t hurt my feelings at all.
That’s the way I see it.
