At some point in my youth, someone much wiser than me gave me the advice that I should ask myself what’s the worst thing that could happen if I were to say something or do something I was contemplating.
I’ve found over the years that when I heeded that advice, things have generally gone much better than when I didn’t.
It appears to me that that wisdom wasn’t passed along to TV personality, and self-described comedian, Kathy Griffin.
…or if it was, she wasn’t paying attention.
“(Undated) — Comedian Kathy Griffin is apologizing for posting a photo that shows her holding President Trump’s severed head by the hair. In a message on social media, Griffin admitted that she crossed the line with the image. She took down the picture from her feed and asked photographer Tyler Shields to do the same. Her apology came after she received widespread backlash over the violent joke.”
What may be the most amazing thing about this story is that Griffin seems shocked by the back lash generated by her attempt to be funny at the expense of a sitting U.S. President.
That’s the way I see it!
