Will the HOUSE start to act like ADULTS………….
As someone old enough to remember well impeachment proceedings against former presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, the lack of any drama at all surrounding yesterday’s U. S. senate rejection of articles of impeachment against president Trump was more significant than I remember from either 1974 or 1998. With republicans in control of the senate, the rejection of 2 articles of impeachment against the president was anticipated and expected. Most people I know who’ve been willing to express an opinion out loud had made up their minds on how they felt about impeachment months ago and I doubt many were watching the final senate votes on Wednesday. The question now is what happens next. will democrats who control the house continue to work to challenge and undermine the president? Will members of the house and senate who’ve been so much at odds over impeachment since last summer be able to work together to get anything of significance accomplished prior to the November election? I guess only time will tell. That’s the way I see it.
