Will YOU watch tonight????????????????
As I wrote this blog early today while most of you were still sleeping, it took me a couple of minutes to remember who Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential running mate was in the 2,016 election. In case you’ve forgotten, it was Virginia U.S. Senator Tim Kaine. Truth be told we hear most from and about the candidates who want to serve us as vice presidents during presidential election campaigns. Most spend time if elected doing things their boss’s don’t want to do or don’t have time for. I think interest will be higher than normal when tonight’s first Vice Presidential debate of 2,020 takes place. The reason is obvious. The combined ages of the 2 major party candidates vying for the presidency this year is 151, the oldest combined total in our history. VP hopefuls republican Mike Pence and Democrat Kamala Harris will be separated by plexiglass when they engage in their first debate in Salt Lake City tonight and that will be symbolic I think of the widely differing positions they are likely to take when questions are asked of them tonight. That’s the way I see it.
