YOUTH Baseball is backkkkkkkkkkkk
Last night was a very nice night in our little town.
Not just because the temperatures were cool and the rain stayed away, but because lots of folks had a chance to do something that it seemed we wouldn’t be able to do as late as 4 weeks ago, and that’s watch their kids and grand kids suit up for some of the summer seasons first youth baseball games at Stadium park. As the youngest of youngsters started to work on skills like holding a bat properly, grabbing a ground ball or pop fly or learned to throw to the right base, Parents and grand parents did what we’ve done for years and that’s cheer on the kids And chuckle at their rookie mistakes. Adults had a chance to talk with other adults they hadn’t seen in months too. Summer time youth baseball in Delphos may be a little thing it’s been part of what we’ve done in our community for years and I’m glad the volunteers who put on the summer program, who had to wade through a host of state health department covid19 rules and regulations, were able to provide the kids and we adults something to enjoy this summer. That’s the way I see it.
